Recycling in Olin Hall

Every floor in Olin Hall has a trash & recycling cabinet. Here you’ll find trash cans and recycling bins. There are two recycling bins following the color coding of the New York Department of Sanitation. Green is for paper and thin cardboard. Blue is for glass, metal, plastic, and cartons. Cardboard goes down to the Tunnel level (sub-basement).

Signs describing what can be recycled are located outside and inside the cabinet. You’ll also find trash and recycling bins in the pantries. If, after viewing the signs, you’re still unsure, place the item in the regular trash rather than risk contaminating the recycling.

When in doubt, throw it out.
