Share gently used clothes and books with the WCM community on April 25 in the Olin Hall Gym (445 E 69th St, Basement).

•9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Drop off clothes and books
•11:00 AM - 2:30 PM: Browse and pick up any books or clothing items
  
You don't need to contribute with a donation in order to pick up something. You can donate only, you can take some items without having donated, or you can do both!

Items to Donate   

Clothes: Clean, and in good condition (no rips or stains).

Books: No writing and in good condition. Hardcover books must include jackets.

The One Healthcare EcoChallenge is a free, virtual, and friendly month-long competition (April 1 - 30, 2024) between healthcare organizations that aims to promote healthy, sustainable habits and community health. Use the EcoChallenge platform to select impactful actions at work and at home, and log your progress to see how your actions add up. You can join the challenge before or at any time during the month of April.

How to participate:

  • Log on: onehealthcare.ecochallenge.org
  • Join team Weill Cornell Medicine (use this link or search for Weill Cornell Medicine in the list of participating organizations)
  • Select daily and one-time actions to accumulate points

The top two scorers from Weill Cornell Medicine will receive a $50 gift card from Earth Hero.

About the EcoChallenge
During the challenge, participants will use the EcoChallenge platform to select actions to take at work and home that positively impact the community. By logging progress throughout the challenge, participants will see their individual and team impacts add up on the Ecochallenge site. Other features of the platform include unique resource links and reflection questions associated with each daily and one-time action, interactive team feeds, and more.

Earth Day was founded in 1970. U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin called for a nationwide demonstration in the spring of 1970 aimed to raise awareness of environmental issues. It worked. The first national Earth Day was April 22, 1970.
