Participate in our Move Out Food Drive

Students who plan to move out of their residence within the next few weeks are invited to bring all unwanted non-perishable, unopened, and unexpired food to the collection boxes in the lobbies of the Feil Family and Weill Family Residence Hall, Lasdon House, or Olin Hall by Sunday, May 17These donations will go to local food banks through Move For Hunger, a national nonprofit organization that mobilizes transportation networks to deliver surplus food to local communities in need.

Earth Day was founded in 1970. U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin called for a nationwide demonstration in the spring of 1970 aimed to raise awareness of environmental issues. It worked. The first national Earth Day was April 22, 1970.
