30% of Municipal Solid Waste is compostable food and yard waste.
The Griffis cafes on the first floor of the Belfer Research Building and on the second floor of the 1300 York Building allow WCM employees to bring their own mug to get their tea or coffee to reduce waste from disposable cups.
The mug should not be more than 12oz for the $1.50 refill. If the cup is larger, then the price will be adjusted.
You can also bring your mug with you when you get coffee outside of our campus. There are coffee shops in the neighborhood that allow you to bring your own mug. Just ask.
